Parting Ways, Chapter 2

Over about three years ago a skinny, naive peasant seized an opportunity to set sail out into the open corporate ocean and eventually settled upon Getronesia... a land filled with high rises, endless rows of caffeine joints and fantastic Indian food!

It was a great tenure, and it was there that he honed his practice, working with the best people the industry could ever ask of. Hours, days, weeks and years passed by... and cultivated he was!

But as fate would unkindly have it, it was time again for this once humble peasant to leave and venture further. A grand feast was prepared, and the night thoroughly enjoyed. He couldn't have asked of more from his ever conspiring peers.

Hugs and many well wishes later, he wastes no time and makes way alone, deep into the unchartered lands of... Fijutsia.

Parting Ways

Had my last day in the office. Nostalgia's kicking in. I mean this is where I was given the chance to learn my trade. First jobs are like first loves - you either have rosy memories about it, or it's just something that you want to forget. Fortunately mine is not the latter :)

During my time there I was able to work with some really wonderful people. Might not have always been in the same wavelength at times, but as far as sharing the knowledge we have is concerned, it was an endless exchange of information!

My clients... lol what an experience they were! Had some psychotic ones to deal with, but thankfully patience got the better of me. All I know is that I've learned a thing or two about charisma when it comes to dealing with such parties.

Man... i'm gonna miss my cubicle!

Here's to the past, and future!

novARGHHH!!!

MessageLabs bills it as the fastest spreading virus ever. Couldn't agree more. We've heard alot of situations derived from a client's perspective, so we'll just put that to rest. I'm going share what happens in the background.

It is just as bad, to begin. Take this situation for example. For every infected email encountered, notifications are sent, not only to administrators, but to senders and recepients too! So do the math: undeliverable mails get queued, notifications get sent... all by the hundreds, and we're talking milliseconds! And at this rate, logs would fill servers in gigs by the minute! Gnarly!

The hindsight? Notifications are good, at least until there's an ass-biting outbreak!

And oh, go easy on your local ISP aye? At least until the 12th of February! :)
